Description
Dear Vim-Team,
the options of -b and -D are printed without the hyphen (-) when calling
man vim. Please see near "Binärer Modus: Es werden einige Variablen..."
https://manpages.debian.org/testing/vim/vi.1.de.html
The english version shows the hyphen correctly.
Please see near "Binary mode. A few options"
https://manpages.debian.org/testing/vim/vi.1.en.html
The output using man is similar.
I have found two files regarding localisation.
They are in the actual repositories and have not been touched since years.
runtime/doc/vim-de.1
runtime/doc/vim-de.UTF-8.1
This files have the hyphens missing. I have edit both files and
generated a diff -u for both. Please find them attached.
Their names are modified to get accepted by the system.
I have reported the bug at Debian, too.
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1087431
I have contacted the first translator by email. He recommended me to file a bug report upstream.
This is what I am doing now. This is just a super-minor issue. But if it possible to fix the typos - why not?
Thank you very much for all your work on this wonderful editor!
Kind regards,
Christoph
