My Story
When I created Auxio, I had no clue how popular it would end up becoming. As far as I was aware, it would be yet another unloved toy project amid the piles of unloved toy projects I've made in the past. 3 years and 1k stars later, Auxio has become one of the most popular FOSS music players in space, but it remains a side-focus for me. I'm a busy college student and aspiring software engineer, and so my attention ends up split between my projects, my academics, and my career. Being able to get compensated for the countless hours of work I've put this app would not only motivate me to put more time into the project, but also possibly work on future apps with the same ethos as Auxio!
Why Sponsor?
- Supporting my work would not just allow me to dedicate just a little more time to Auxio, but also prevent the app from becoming unmaintained, or worse, paywalled.
- You'll get a cool badge on your profile, and a shoutout in the README. Larger donations will allow you to get a link to your github profile in the app itself!
- Larger contributions will grant you the ability to prioritize features! Instead of waiting for me to eventually get around to your favorite feature request, you can throw in your support in a comment, and I'll make it one of my top priorities!
- Most importantly, you'll receive massive gratitude from me personally.
