I was playing earlier today and then I closed the application and opened it later. All of the statistics from the previous session had been wiped, as well as the associated player. I tried to see if there was some documentation on the player system that would clarify if I did something wrong but I couldn't find anything, hence why this may have been confusion. I can't think of much else information, I tried recreating the issue but it works normally now
