added feature to change colour of text papget with a comboboxentry gui element, allowing selection of predefined colours or the possibility of typing in your own string to define the colour based on valid X11 colours usually defined in rgb.txt (not the case for OS X...). If an invalid colour is selected, the default is black, which can make the papget disappear if there are no map tiles in the background...

This solution works, but the default color in black is annoying. Unfortunately I can't find any function to test if the color is valid or not.
A long term solution could be to use a GTK color selection dialog box.

An other possibility is when you set the papget by hand in your GCS layout file, you can specify the "color" property.
