Issue

Mozilla Firefox 60.0.1 (64-bit) on FreeBSD with user agent string

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; FreeBSD amd64; rv:60.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/60.0

Background

Re: Supported build targets - Mozilla | MDN (2018-03-25)

  • FreeBSD/x86, x86-64, aarch64 (clang) (maintained by Jan Beich @jbeich) is amongst the Tier-3 platforms that:

have a maintainer or community which attempt to keep the platform working. …

– and https://www.freshports.org/www/firefox includes an overview of commits; fifteen, to date, for 60.

Enhancement request

Given the Tier-3 status, and the long history of commits:

  • please consider broadening the scope of the Outdated Browser service, to not treat Firefox on FreeBSD as outdated.

Thank you

Hmm, after reading the FAQ I don't know whether this is truly an issue.

At https://www.burocratik.com/ (redirected from http://www.burocratik.com, the site pictured at https://d.pr/i/Xhf) I do not get the red alert.

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; FreeBSD amd64; rv:62.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/62.0

Is there a URL I can visit to more positively test?

I have this issue as well. Firefox 66 on FreeBSD 12.0. outdatedbrowser.com (at the time of posting) says 66 is the latest version.
Just because I run FreeBSD does not mean my browser is "outdated". It's not like FreeBSD is unmaintained and left to rot (it isn't) like Mandriva Linux is.
