Hi serge-eric-kalaga, Thanks so much for this thoughtful feature request! ⭐ The idea of adding a “Favorite” or “Star” button on npm package pages is fantastic. It would definitely help developers quickly save and organize packages they find useful or want to revisit later — similar to how GitHub stars help with repositories. Having a dedicated section in the user profile to view all favorited packages would make managing and rediscovering those packages much easier. Plus, an API endpoint for favorites would open up cool possibilities for automation or integrations. This kind of feature could really boost engagement and improve the overall user experience on npmjs.com by helping users curate their own personalized package collections. I believe the npm team and community would appreciate hearing this suggestion, so I encourage you to share it on the official npm GitHub discussions or feature request tracker if you haven’t already. Thanks again for your great idea and support of the npm ecosystem! 😊 |

💡 Feature Request: Add the ability to favorite npm packages
Hi NPM team 👋,
As a developer, I often come across interesting or useful npm packages that I’d like to keep track of and revisit later.
Currently, there's no native way on the npmjs.com website to "favorite" or bookmark a package and store it in my account for easy access later.
🔧 Suggested feature:
Add a "⭐ Favorite" button on package pages (similar to GitHub stars).
Allow users to view their list of favorited packages in their npmjs.com profile.
(Optional) Add an API endpoint to programmatically retrieve or manage favorite packages.
🙌 Benefits:
Makes it easier for developers to organize and revisit useful packages.
Encourages exploration and engagement with the npm ecosystem.
Adds value to the user experience, especially for those who frequently browse npm packages.
Thanks for all the great work you do!
