What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Launching WPKG on any workstation

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Normally WPKG should be able to parse XML files from WpkgExpress in order not
to have to export XML files for any modification in the web interface.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
WPKGExpress 1.0-r12
WPKG Client 1.3.9
Only on Windows XP 5.1 SP3

Please provide any additional information below.
Well, I just installed WpkgExpress and everything was fine when the base
directory was directly on the server (shared directory). But now I really want
WPKG to pull in XML files from WpkgExpress without having to export XML files
for every change made on the web interface. So I followed your recommandations
but I guess I'm missing some point because it is not working at all. I
installed WpkgExpress with localhost and EasyPHP, I think there is no problem
from there.

I have a workstation I use for tests and when I launch a user session, I get
the following error in wpkg log :

2011-04-20 12:37:16, ERROR : Error parsing xml
'http://127.0.0.1:8888/wpkgexpress_v1.0-r12/profiles.xml': Erreur système :
-2146697208.||File
http://127.0.0.1:8888/wpkgexpress_v1.0-r12/profiles.xml|Line 0|Linepos
0|Filepos 0|srcText |
2011-04-20 12:37:16, ERROR : Message: No profiles found.
Aborting|Description: No profiles found. Aborting|Error number: a|Stack:
 undefined|Line: undefined|

It is quite weird because when I type directly the URL above, I get what you
can see in the attached file. So the profiles are correctly defined with
WpkgExpress, but WPKG cannot parse this file.

Could you please give me a hint or a lead in order to solve this problem ? I
beg your pardon for my english, as I am french and not native from an english
spoken country.

Finally, many thanks for this wonderful tool that is WPKG.

Best regards.
