hi
for the last months i have tried many PKM, outliners, note taking apps, and i really wanted to use Logseq in the end.

after 6 months, i have to admit there is too much friction - especially on iPhone.

😥 here is why

Main action icons sometimes don't appear (especially the needed rec button):

Formatting menu -supposely above the keyboard- just in and out of sight as typing (this one really drives me crazy):

I can't access any of my shared safe folders. Only Apple's:

Even though access is given to Logseq in the phone settings:

I've accepted to use icloud, to find my notes from the iphone on my computer.
I thought : "I'm just going to move the files from the cloud folder to my other graph on my computer" 🪩🕺

😱 thank god there wasn't too many files! what a mess it did!
Although files where not doubled, as it seems Logseq has journal entries in memory that are not shown in the journal folder (but in a bak folder).

I'm afraid I can't compromise between inspiration and friction management - which really upsets me.

I'll keep an eye on the database integration and those projects of plugins to have a local database integrated in chromium like web browsers.
