2. Verify that there are no ruptures or losses of elasticity in the mask, elastic bands and buckles.
3. Verify that the bands have not deteriorated because of excessive use.
4. Inspect the visor for cracks, scratches, and check that the seal with the rubber of the mask is
airtight.
5. exhalation valve must be cleaned and operated easily. The valve must move outside the seat

make sure it opens and closes properly and that it holds the cylinder firmly. If the cylinder
band and the latch are closed, the end of the latch should not rotate.

test ensures that the alarms are in operation conditions.
[Link] sure the bell is properly aligned and tightened.
[Link] that the high and low-pressure hose does not have any cuts or severe abrasion.
[Link] that the working pressure of the cylinder is within a range of not less than 10% of the
working pressure specified. For example, for 4000 psi cylinders, the pressure shall not be less
than 3600 psi. The cylinders that do not meet this requirement should be taken out of service
to be refilled.
[Link] the cylinder’s valve for evidence of damage. The valve may be opened slowly to make
sure it is working properly. Make sure the valve shut completely.
