@peter1szalatnay as far as I am aware Gantry 5 has not been abandoned. They are actively responding to support requests in the Rocket Theme forum. It is my understanding that they are understaffed especially since @mahagr had to stop working for some time now due to health issues and then there was the passing of Mark Taylor aka MrT last year. They haven't created new templates but they have kept things up to date to work with the latest versions of PHP and I'm sure they will provide a new update that will be fully compatible with Joomla 5 without the need for the backwards compatibility plugin.

If you have the time and capability to contribute to the Gantry 5 project I would welcome it and I'm sure they would too.

Already have the system plugin, library and admin converted for native Joomla 5.

I would love to contribute but as I already removed grav, wordpress and legacy J3 code out of my fork and only focusing on Joomla, the question is how to back port it into here.
