Pruning mode is not supported in version 0.7.0. Even the presence of this setting in the config file will not start the cli or gui properly. For now not using this option. Hope to see support for pruning enabled soon again as it saves a lot of storage.

The problem with pruning is that Proof of Stake and name transactions sometimes require access to outputs that were spent. And this changes dynamically over time with PoS. Pruning is possible to implement, but it will require pruning algorithm to somehow ignore those spent txo that are needed by PoS and names. I will try to implement it in next big release. Hopefully without a hard fork.

Any progress on this issue? Dash and Firo, which have also PoS, have solved this.
