@dfranx the repo hasn't seen a commit in over 2 years. For the project to stay alive and evolve, it needs maintenance. Consider adding active members as community maintainers to review issues and deal with PRs.

You shouldn't feel stuck abandoning the project or sacrificing other priorities to work on it for it to live.
