Describe the Issue

When I'm connected with my Macbook Air (M1) to my Windows PC and I use the Mac Trackpad to Scroll on the Windows PC, scrolling feels very laggy and weird (like an old Windows Laptop Trackpad). Better Scrolling behavior is seemingly possible as can be seen in Sharemouse.

I'm aware of input forwarding being laggy between some device setups, I can sometimes replicate it between two windows devices. While I didn't have same issues between windows and mac in either direction, it's likely it'll be very related solution wise - which is more/better optimisation.

It useful to know that it's not an issue on Sharemouse as that indicates that network is not the problem. However as the issue doesn't happen consistently on my end and there aren't many people reporting this, the issue has medium priority at the moment - meaning it's important and will be looked at but not in nearest month or more.

Thanks for the quick reply. I experimented a bit and found out that it's not a performance Issue. The problem is the "Smooth Scrolling" feature in Windows. If I turn it off (edge://flags/), scrolling feels a lot more natural. Unfortunately leaving it turned off is not an Option because Scrolling with a regular mouse Wheel feels bad without it. With Sharemouse the Problem was a lot less noticeable because the Scrolling Speed is a lot higher in Sharemouse which seemingly counteracts the "laggy" feeling. A solution for me would be to be able to adjust the scrolling speed that is transmitted.

Oh okay, I see. I was not aware of 'smooth scrolling' feature in Windows and how it affects the scroll. I should be able to fit this in (or at least have a look at it and see how much work is needed and provide an update) sometime soon. Likely after 1.7.3 is finished and released.
