For much of its history, MFE has experienced many crashes that are, from reporting of the Windows default reporting, unexplainable. As such, I was considering using telemetry (in essence, a mechanism to automatically report crash information). I wish that this would help me deal better with issues that have to do with the app crashing.

Currently, I'm considering using Microsoft's Application Insights, although depending on needs I might decide to switch to another service.

I have to make a few points clear about this, if this goes into plan:

• We do not (and will not) collect usage data, only app crashes.
• We do not (and will not) collect or upload any of your files, not even configuration files.
• We will do our best to minimize collection of potentially sensitive information.
• The app crash data is solely for diagnosing and fixing app crashes and is only visible to us developers. It is not given out or sold to anyone else.
• The data stays for 90 days as default, although I'm open to suggestions (minimum is 30 days). After that it is deleted and is no way accessible.
