Pretty much, although ffmpeg's encoder is probably "good enough" for 99% of folks so whether it really matters or not is another thing. It did move out of beta a while back.
Nope. It's not license compatible with HandBrake and therefore cannot be distributed. |

HandBrake uses ffmpeg aac by default as you know. I would like to know if the order has changed recently in terms of quality-compression.
Is this still the quality ranking?

Is it possible to compile HandBrake with FDK-AAC in a signed way or compile it completely as a release (not like beta) via github?
