It's something like you have to install the latest version of dotnet SDK kinda message. If I refuse it the program just immediately exit and crash. I already uninstalled and installed very early portable version. |

HandBrake needs the https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/8.0/runtime to run. |

The version I was using until now wasn't needed. The program itself updated without my perm, and then I wasn't even able to launch it, and there was no option to roll it back. This is just non-sense. |

HandBrake doesn't update without permission. It could be .net8 was installed on your computer, and then removed for some reasons. Just install the .net8 runtime back and it will start again. |

I never uninstalled dotnet 8(heck even no it was installed or not). One thing is clear: when I checked the program version, it was 1.8.2, which was released this month. I used this program for many years. This doesn't make sense at all unless the program updates itself without my asking. |

I have never experienced this kind of issue with any program or dev tools I have ever used. You are keep saying that the program doesn't auto-update itself, but then how you gonna explain my Handbrake was v1.8.2 even though it was installed several years ago? I can confidently say that I never updated it and also I never approved any kind of update or something similar. |

Problem Description
I have used this program for quite a long time. But today, suddenly, it is just not working. Instead, it shows some kind of popup that forces me to install the latest version of don't. So I just checked the release page on this github page and there was a 1.8.2 released in this month and checked my installed program and current installed version is 1.8.2.
I never upgraded or installed anything, but why is the program version 1.8.2? Does this force auto-update? If it does, how do I disable it? Fck sake, I can't even run it. And if it really does auto-update, then let me ask two questions. First is "why?" and second is "hell why?".
