Hey, as far as I know current AV1 GPU encoding solutions match Preset 7 of SVT-AV1 at best, so yes using SVT P6 and slower would be significantly more efficient, especially with paramters like scm=1:enable-variance-boost=1 |

I have a laptop RTX 4090, and was curious if nvenc AV1 encoding could match CPU encoding. This is important to me because I would like to encode while away from home with my laptop. Will be encoding 4k drone footage.
I am fine if the difference is very small.
