As far as I know, you can't convert Dolby Vision into HDR10, only passthough it as a layer on top of the HDR10 codec stream. |

yes, that uses libplacebo library within ffmpeg to process DV layer and merge with hdr10, but luminance output data is hardcoded to 1,000 nits MDL and zero for maxCLL, it's not optimal for tvs, every video has different MDL. You need more tone-mapping parameters for libplacebo to process right. Peak detect false needs to provide exact MDL or maxCLL. My advice is forget DV altogether for the nul benefit it gives to displays with enough luminance. DV is mostly to tonemap for low brightness tvs. If your tv has 1,000 nits support, you don't need DV altogether. The HDR10 data has everything on it. The main problem is, the source video is Dolby Vision Profile 5, it doesn't use RGB or YCbCr, it's something else, and the color is green/pink in both source preview and result video. The source video is confirmed correct when playing through Plex Client (Android TV). How to correctly decode and encode into HDR10?
I don't ask here before googling, I didn't find a relevant thing on google.
