A major problem with SVGs is the width and height properties which have unfortunate consequences for layout because SVG 1.1 is not fully compatible with HTML in this respect.

Support for setting these to auto, an SVG 2.0 fix for this problem, is now in Firefox and will hopefully be in other browsers soon.

Please could SVG width/height being set to auto be added to the site.
