Problem description

I'm fairly new to FreeCAD but have 30 yrs or Swx. My FreeCAD 1.0.0 got really screwed up Model & Task tabs not side by side and to fix it I decided best thing to do was uninstall and reinstall. When I opened up FreeCAD all my tool bits I had created were gone.

I would suggest that's a mistake. For me it's really inconvenient. Is there a way to tools in a separate directory?
