I don't know, how viable and if it is even possible (IMO should be), but: currently Bamboo Tracker doesn't seem to allow anything lower than C-0 on FM channels. Not even pitch macro seems to work. However, PMD allows to lower pitch on C-0 quite considerably.
work.zip - short demonstration and MML src code.
In my opinion, it is worth bothering with it, since that feature would allow creating very intersting tracks...
