Description
Basic info:
Anarchy version: 1.06
Installation method (VM/Host): bare metal install
System specifications (Processor, GPU, RAM ...): intel GPU, intel i3, 8g ram
What you expected would happen
Using 1.06 deepin install only, desktop does not work. White background can be fixed by changing wallpaper. DDE-dock must be killed and will auto restart to have that appear. In this a Deepin issue or script/install? Using intel i915 graphics. Repeated this 4 times, same result.
After several failed reinstalls of a deepin-only desktop, I deployed with an Anarchy default desktop then manually installed deepin (deepin + deepin-extra) and everything works. Seemed to me like a fault somewhere in running the initial dde-dock service because if I killed it with a low number pid it would autorestart with a high number pid and be fine.
Steps needed to reproduce the bug
- install Anarchy from USB
- Choose to install only Deepin desktop
- Reboot and login to deepin desktop
- See white screen, change wallpaper to fix that. Might be path problem.
- Notice no dock, open terminal, ps aux | grep dock
- kill pid for dde-dock and dock starts within moments
Extra info
Fresh reinstall, choose any other desktop then install deepin and deepin-extra manually after first boot. Deepin desktop works as expected. I saw no entries in logs regarding dde-dock or failures.
