SwiftData storage on the Mac

SwiftData storage on the Mac

Where does SwiftData store things on the Mac?

Default Storage Location

On iOS, this directory is in the app's own storage location (app_UUID/Library/Application Support) but, on the Mac, it's a shared location in the user's Library.

By default on the Mac, SwiftData stores its model in the /~/Library/Application Support directory as default.store. (It will also add two other files, default.store-shm and default.store-wal, as the model is stored as a SQLite database, and these are these additional files are part of how SQLite works.)

`texlive-full` without the beef

TLDR;

On an Debian/Ubuntu-based system, to install texlive-full without docs and language packs, simply do this:

sudo apt install `sudo apt --assume-no install texlive-full | \
		awk '/The following additional packages will be installed/{f=1;next} /Suggested packages/{f=0} f' | \
		tr ' ' '\n' | grep -vP 'doc$' | grep -vP 'texlive-lang' | grep -vP 'latex-cjk' | tr '\n' ' '`

After this, if you wish to install the language packs, selectively install them. E.g.:

Why I use node, deno, bun, qjs, tjs at the same time

Why I use node, deno, bun, qjs, tjs at the same time.

Winds up being a (not the) rather comprehensive JavaScript toolbox. The idea being for the modern JavaScript programmer can use all of the tools available for a given requirement, task or job, without preference for any. No external bundlers or compilers are needed. No frameworks are needed. I can use qjs or tjs for systems with minimal RAM and disk space; and when I want to use Web API's deno makes an effort to provide those interfaces. In some cases I can run the exact same code in bun, deno, and node, which provides a means to perform 1:1 testing as to performance.

There's probably a few things I am unintentionally omitting below. These are just a brief synposis. I'll update accordingly.

Unique 0-click deanonymization attack targeting Signal, Discord and hundreds of platform

hi, i'm daniel. i'm a 15-year-old high school junior. in my free time, i hack billion dollar companies and build cool stuff.

3 months ago, I discovered a unique 0-click deanonymization attack that allows an attacker to grab the location of any target within a 250 mile radius. With a vulnerable app installed on a target's phone (or as a background application on their laptop), an attacker can send a malicious payload and deanonymize you within seconds--and you wouldn't even know.

I'm publishing this writeup and research as a warning, especially for journalists, activists, and hackers, about this type of undetectable attack. Hundreds of applications are vulnerable, including some of the most popular apps in the world: Signal, Discord, Twitter/X, and others. Here's how it works:

Cloudflare

By the numbers, Cloudflare is easily the most popular CDN on the market. It beats out competitors such as Sucuri, Amazon CloudFront, Akamai, and Fastly. In 2019, a major Cloudflare outage k
