Sponsorship via Invoice

To request an invoice from OSGeo (great for companies and public institutions sponsoring a team goal or code-sprint):

1. To request an invoice please email [email protected] .
2. We need some information to properly thank you for your support:
   • Donations: Please include your name, and a useful link, for GeoServer website.
   • Sponsorship: Please include organization logo to be listed on the GeoServer and OSGeo websites.

   Example email sponsoring GeoServer:

   Treasurer:

   We would like to sponsor the GeoServer Project, as a member of the GeoServer community we recognize the value in supporting open source.

   Please send us an invoice for $3000 USD. This brings our total sponsorship to the level to be recognized as an OSGeo Silver sponsor (please see attached organization logo).

Donate via GitHub Sponsors

Great for monthly donations, avoid PayPal overhead, and developers obtain a GitHub sticker:

1. Visit GitHub Sponsors page for https://github.com/sponsors/OSGeo
2. Select a monthly donation sponsorship tier.
   
3. The OSGeo Treasurer does not get a clear notification from GitHub, so we have to ask you to send an email to [email protected] :
   • Donations: Individuals are asked to include your name, and a useful link, for GeoServer website.
   • Sponsorship: Organizations are asked to include their logo and website URL to be listed on the GeoServer and OSGeo websites.

Easy for one-time donations and sponsorships (although PayPal takes a small overhead):

1. OSGeo provided a PayPal donate button that goes straight to GeoServer:

Sponsorship Recognition and Recommendations

Sponsorship is not a replacement for commercial support. Financial support indicates a commitment to the sustainability of the GeoServer.

We appreciate all levels of support. The following recommended donation levels provide the team an opportunity to acknowledge your financial support.

For a large enough sponsorship your financial contribution is recognized by the OSGeo software foundation that GeoServer belongs to. Your financial support accumulates towards your OSGeo sponsorship level - so if you sponsor several different activities you get greater recognition.

Individuals

Donations help the project steering committee support developers in small ways. Examples include covering travel expenses and code-sprint attendance.

• $5/monthly Enthusiast: Fans of OSGeo, badge your repository as supporting OSGeo with a small donation.
• $10/monthly Supporter: GIS Professionals, name listed as 2024 Donations on GeoServer website.
• $50/monthly Bronze Sponsor: Individual consultants, Logo listed as 2024 Sponsor on GeoServer website, cross-listed to OSGeo website as a bronze sponsors, bronze sponsor logo, be sure to setup your service provider page.

Organizations

Sponsorship contributes to the operational expenses, allowing the project steering committee to address care-and-feeding activities.

• $500 annually OSGeo Bronze Sponsor: Individual consultants.
• $3,000 annually OSGeo Silver Sponsorship: Small organizations using GeoServer internally to support their employees.
• $10,000 annually OSGeo Gold Sponsorship: Small organizations using GeoServer for public communication or regulatory requirements.
• $20,000 annually OSGeo Platinum Sponsorship: Large organizations using GeoServer internally to support their employees.
• $30,000 annually OSGeo Diamond Sponsorship: Large organizations using GeoServer for public communication or regulatory requirements.
