T.H. Houghton is a guest character on NBC series Frasier. He is portrayed by Robert Prosky.
Character[]
Houghton is a legendary author, well known for his only book Time Flies Tomorrow. However, after his book was published he became a notable recluse, hardly ever going out into public. Houghton visits Seattle in Autumn 1996 to publish a new book, The Chameleon's Song. Here he befriends Martin, much to the dismay of Frasier and Niles. The Crane brothers attempt to impress Houghton, but often fail to do so. They read his manuscript for his second novel when he leaves it at Frasier's apartment by accident. However, he thanks the boys for reading it, and asks their opinion. When they tell him they found parts similar to Dante's The Divine Comedy, he becomes upset and attempts to burn his manuscript. When it won't burn he throws it out into the gutter.
