Peter A. Devlin is an associate in the Litigation Group. He is recognized by National Law Journal as a 2023 "Litigation Trailblazer."
Mr. Devlin represents corporations and individuals in complex commercial, civil, and regulatory matters. He has substantial trial and appellate experience in the technology and media industries, with a focus on contract, intellectual property, fraud, privacy, false advertising, and constitutional claims. Mr. Devlin’s representative matters include:
• Won summary judgment in contract dispute on behalf of national telecommunications company.
• Obtained temporary restraining order enjoining unauthorized use of International Olympic Committee’s trademarks.
• Obtained preliminary injunction against City of New York preventing regulation of food delivery app from taking effect.
• Represent electrical wire manufacturer in false advertising and antitrust suit against industry incumbents.
• Represent gaming company in state regulatory investigation concerning child data privacy laws.
• Compelled individual arbitration in a securities class action against an NFT company.
• Advised global media company on generative AI and copyright issues.
Mr. Devlin clerked for the Honorable Dennis Jacobs of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the Honorable Valerie Caproni of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. He graduated cum laude from New York University School of Law, where he was a Florence Allen Scholar and managing editor of the N.Y.U. Law Review. Mr. Devlin's published student note, "Jurisdiction, Exhaustion of Administrative Remedies, and Constitutional Claims," has been cited by federal district courts.
Prior to joining Frankfurt Kurnit, Mr. Devlin practiced at a top litigation boutique and in the litigation department of a preeminent global law firm.
Before law school, Mr. Devlin worked as a technology consultant to help develop the Affordable Care Act's state health insurance exchanges.
Mr. Devlin is admitted to practice in New York and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
