Several deceased members of the school and experiment station community are remembered by name on the Rutgers Rising Memorial at the Heron Rising Patio, located just outside of the Cook Student Center.
The Rutgers Rising ceremony is held to remember individuals who have passed away in the preceding or current year, including students, faculty, staff, and alumni whose deaths are brought to the attention of the organizers.
