Derrick (Hynes), director of fan engagement, is tasked with evaluating how Alana and her family stack up against the other two finalists. When Alana's grandfather's (Begley) vintage lucky Chiefs hat goes missing, however, she "begins to doubt everything she believed about fate and even questions her future with Derrick" — that is, unless "a little Christmas magic can throw a Hail Mary." "With Hallmark and the Kansas City Chiefs both homegrown, rooted in values, tradition and community, there is a special alchemy between these two iconic organizations," said Darren Abbott, Hallmark's chief brand officer. "By blending the warmth of Hallmark storytelling with the excitement of professional football, we are thrilled to give audiences a front-row seat to this community's spirit, rich traditions, and passionate fans that define Kansas City, all wrapped up in the comforting and uplifting Hallmark way." Kelce's mother, Donna, made a cameo in the spoof. Swift and Kelce have been romantically linked since late last year, with the pop star making highly-publicized appearances at the football player's games, including this year's Super Bowl. The NFL has heavily leaned into coverage of the relationship. The two recently made headlines after Kelce joined Swift on stage during the London leg of her Eras Tour, donning a top hat during the pop star's performance of "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart."
