The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) demolished on Monday six Palestinian houses in Anata town, northeast of Jerusalem, at the pretext of unlicensed construction.
According to local sources, Israeli bulldozers escorted by police forces knocked down four homes belonging to the family of al-Diyafin and two others belonging to the family of Abu Ghalya.
In a related context, the Israeli municipality forced on Sunday the Jerusalemite family of Basheer to demolish their own house in Silwan district.
Meanwhile, the IOA intends to extract a court order to impose financial penalties on a number of Jerusalemite families in Silwan for parking their cars on a swath of land belonging to the Israeli municipality, claiming this land is part of a Jewish cemetery.
