[edit]Inherited from Prakrit 𑀟𑁄𑀁𑀩 (ḍoṃba),[1][2] from Sanskrit डोम्ब (ḍomba, “Dom”), ultimately from a substrate language such as Dravidian or Munda.[3][1][2][4]
