- (philosophy) That which is not a cow.

- The Buddhist maintains that the genus of cow is nothing but the exclusion of noncows or nonexistence in noncows (anyapoha). Venkatanatha refutes this view. It is wrong, since the universal is apprehended as a positive entity.
