Cognate with Gothic 𐌷𐌰𐌿𐍂𐌽 (haurn), Old English horn, more distantly with Latin cornū, Sanskrit शृङ्ग (ṡṛṅga, “horn”), Old Church Slavonic сръна (srŭna, “roedeer”), Hittite [script needed] (surna, “horn”).
