Etymology
[edit]Inherited from Sauraseni Prakrit 𑀪𑀢𑁆𑀢𑀺𑀚𑁆𑀚 (bhattijja), from Sanskrit भ्रात्रीय (bhrātrīya, “fraternal”), from भ्राता (bhrātā, “brother”) + -ईय (-īya, adjectival suffix).
