  1. Alternative form of تَسَمَّعَ (tasammaʕa)
    • 609–632 CE, Qur'an, 37:8:
      لَا يَسَّمَّعُونَ إِلَى الْمَلَإِ الْأَعْلَىٰ وَيُقْذَفُونَ مِن كُلِّ جَانِبٍ
      yassammaʕūna ʔilā l-malaʔi l-ʔaʕlā wa-yuqḏafūna min kulli jānibin
      So they may not listen to the exalted assembly and are pelted from every side
