Speedy deletion of Rising North East Investors Summit
[edit]The article on the Rising Northeast Investors Summit 2025 serves as an informative overview of an important event organized to promote investments in Northeast India. It provides factual details about the summit's objectives, key sectors, and significant investment announcements, clearly conveying its purpose of fostering economic development in the region, and is not intended as advertising. Additionally, I have removed the detailed keynotes from the Prime Minister's speech to maintain neutrality and focus on the event itself. All content is supported by credible sources. Thank you for reconsidering this matter.Ḅ̵̼̝̭͔͆̿́͌̚l̷͖̯͚͕̭̑͑̀͑͘a̵͍̘̥̟̪͗̈́̈́͒͠â̷̮͎̲̪̥̿̐͗͝d̵̰͓̠̘̫͒̎̽͊̉a̷̛̬̜̲̲͙̅͛͝͠ (talk) 10:09, 26 May 2025 (UTC)

Deletion of The Odeon (Alderney)
[edit]For the past week or so, I have been creating articles on the fortifications on the island of Alderney. I see you deleted my article The Odeon (Alderney), as there “was a draft.” The draft page was a redirect to the current page, and was automatically formatted. You said there was “no RS,” and if that was the case, you could move it to draftspace again, not delete the article. The article is useful, as it is an interesting structure with informational signs/exhibits near it, sort of a museum. Please reconsider. ’’’PhilDaBirdMan’’’ 13:22, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
- ’’’PhilDaBirdMan’’’ OK, created as draft again. I'd be interested to know why Trip Advisor is an RS source. I've removed the duplicated refs and changed the spelling from US to British English, which I think is more appropriate for this topic Jimfbleak - talk to me? 13:36, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
- It may not be an RS source, but there are a few sources I have been looking at, such as the official visitalderney website, the Alderney Museum, among others. It’s a source. ’’’PhilDaBirdMan’’’ 13:42, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
- ’’’PhilDaBirdMan’’’ OK, I'll leave it to the FAC reviewer Jimfbleak - talk to me? 13:45, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
Heading
[edit]Hi Jimfbleak,
I hope you're well. I’m reaching out to kindly ask if you could take a moment to review a draft article I’ve been working on. The subject was previously flagged and deleted for promotional tone, so I’ve made significant revisions to ensure it aligns with Wikipedia’s neutrality and notability guidelines.
Would you be willing to take a look and let me know if the tone is now appropriate and whether it appears ready for submission through Articles for Creation? I'm also hoping to ensure it meets Wikidata compatibility standards for eventual linkage.
Thank you in advance for your time and expertise—any feedback would be sincerely appreciated. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 18:39, 28 May 2025 (UTC) Csefam (talk) 17:29, 28 May 2025 (UTC)

A UTRS unblock request
[edit]On 9 November 2019 you imposed a block on Krunal.intesols for spam. They have now made an unblock request at UTRS appeal #103539. In that request they say that they won't edit about their business or anything else they are closely connected to. What I see there is a clear undertaking not to repeat the things which led to the block. It is also several years since the block. I do not see any good reason not to assume good faith, and give the editor a chance to return to editing. Do you have any opinion to offer? JBW (talk) 21:53, 28 May 2025 (UTC)

Restoration of Notable Usmar's by Family Genealogist
[edit]Good afternoon Jimfbleak - I see you have deleted my page about Katherine Anne Usmar - please can you restore it. I am not Katherine!
My name is James, and I am creating pages for notable / historically significant individuals.
Katherine is an elected official - as per the definition - is permitted a page!
I could however do with some guidance about why my intial 4 references aren't accepted by user:Toadettedit ?
Many thanks, James

- UsmarWrites you have not clarified or properly declared your COI. You are also assuming that she is notable, but see Wikipedia:Notability (people), Politicians and judges section, and Wikipedia:Notability (people)/Subnational politicians. You might be better starting from scratch, finding references first, rather than trying to improve a promo. Either way, if you submit a new version that is as promotional as the first, you might be blocked, so you will need to take your time to get it right Jimfbleak - talk to me? 08:31, 30 May 2025 (UTC)
Deletion of Draft: Wells College Book Arts Center
[edit]You deleted the draft page for Wells College Book Arts Center for either "unambiguous advertising or promotion" or "not notable anyway".
1. "Unambiguous advertising or promotion". Wells College has closed. The Wells Book Arts Center has closed. It is impossible to advertise or promote the college or the center as they do not exist anymore.
2. "Not Notable Anyway". Wells College was the last undergraduate home to the Book Arts Major in Undergraduate studies in the United States. Wells College Book Arts Center had a world class collection of printing presses, metal and wood type, and related printing and bookbinding ephemera. The Center hosted a Summer Institute that drew from multiple countries and encouraged education for a variety of forms of fine arts. The Center preserved and hosted archives, ephemera, and materials from Victor Hammer and J.J. Lankes, two very prominent artists in the first half of the 1900s. The Center has allowed multiple individuals to graduate from Wells after studying Book Arts in some way, including some who went on to get their masters' degrees and/or teach at various institutions across the country. The Center was located in a historical building known as Morgan Hall, an important piece of local and college history. The Center preserved and taught many topics and forms of art to young adults, assisting in the preservation of less common artforms such as letterpress printing, wood engraving, bookbinding, papermaking, calligraphy, and more. These are very uncommon artforms and have small communities that tend to lean towards the elderly. Including a page on the Wells College Book Arts Center, which connected these communities and helped bring new, younger individuals into said communities, is very important to preserving the history and information about the Center, especially as the College has been closed for over a year and the Center has as a result closed.
3. If the issue is my declaration of a potential conflict of interest, this is my first page. I wasn't sure if my previous status as a student at the college counted as a conflict. I would say it does not, as I gain nothing from this page existing as the college and center don't exist anymore.
Please reinstate this draft to assist with preserving some incredible history and contributing to knowledge about a very rare program that contributed internationally to many uncommon and rare art fields.
At MINIMUM, please allow me to obtain a copy of my original work and citations. I would like to have a copy to IMPROVE on for my future contributions.

Deletion: Christopher M. Date
[edit]Could the article improved to not be deleted? Which improvements would be necessary? Date holds a position as an Associate Professor and has co-authored and co-edited five academic books. He has organized severeal theological conferences. His curriculum vitae could be used as reference. Why is the article classified as promotion? The article about Edward Fudge is not deleted, although Fudge never held an academic position.

Draft: Download This Show
[edit]Hi Jimfbleak,
I’ve created a draft at User:NoMacca/Download This Show for the ABC Radio National podcast Download This Show. I'm a long-time listener, but I have no connection to the show beyond that.
This is a government-funded program that has aired nationally since 2012. It has covered Australian and international tech/media issues weekly and was originally hosted by Marc Fennell (who already has a Wikipedia page for his media work).
I'd appreciate any feedback on whether the draft meets Wikipedia's standards and what improvements, if any, are needed before submission.
Thanks! NoMacca (talk) 11:34, 31 May 2025 (UTC)
- NoMacca, you need independent third-party sources, the show's presenters are clearly not that. If it's notable, there should be coverage (not reviews) in reputable sources. Also be careful when you use chatbots to write, at least check what they suggest Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:50, 31 May 2025 (UTC)
- Hi, I have found some external sources and added them.I have tried to base some of the content off Conversations_(radio_program) which is another popular radio program from ABC. I also used some content from Marc_Fennell who was the the host for many years until last year.Let me know if I need anything extra for this. NoMacca (talk) 09:53, 1 June 2025 (UTC)

- NoMacca I've formatted the show's name. Looks better, although I have doubts about Spotify; it's not a great source, number of downloads isn't a notability criterion, and I wonder if you are going to come back and update those figures indefinitely Jimfbleak - talk to me? 10:52, 1 June 2025 (UTC)

Deletion of entry Ivan Plusch
[edit]Hi Jim,
I see that you deleted my entry on the Russian artist Ivan Plusch. First of all, I would like to say I am NOT Ivan Plusch, nor am I related to him in any way. I happened to stumble on his artwork researching on how artists incorporated AI in Art and I thought what he did was interesting. As you can see from my draft, this artist has exhibted no lest than 4 times at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art and is an established artist in his own right. If it is more third party sources, I would be happy to add more (this is an established artist so there will be no problems finding more sources). I would be grateful if you could restore my entry so I can make amendments. As it stands, because the draft has been deleted, i cannot even amend it at all (perhaps you could move it to the draftspace so I can improve it?).
Thanks! Editorarta (talk) 18:23, 1 June 2025 (UTC)
