John D. Weeks (born 11 October 1943) is an American chemist currently University Distinguished Professor at University of Maryland.

He was awarded a B.A. degree by Harvard College in 1965 and a Ph.D. by the University of Chicago in 1969. [1]

He is a Fellow of the American Physical Society (1986 and an elected Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and American Academy of Arts and Sciences.[2][3][4][5]
