The Zrarieh massacre was the killing of between 21 and 32 Lebanese civillians by the Israeli Defence Forces on 11 March 1985, in the southern town Zrarieh.^[1]^[2]^[3]^[4]^[5]^[6] According to Thomas Friedman, Israel claimed that the victims were "terrorists", but no evidence was provided and the operation was met with no resistance.^[7] According to AP it met with with heavy resistance from Shiite militants and Lebanon army^[8]
