The Zrarieh massacre was the killing of between 21 and 32 Lebanese civillians by the Israeli Defence Forces on 11 March 1985, in the southern town Zrarieh.[1][2][3][4][5][6] According to Thomas Friedman, Israel claimed that the victims were "terrorists", but no evidence was provided and the operation was met with no resistance.[7] 2 journalists working for CBS News were also killed.[8]According to AP it met with with heavy resistance from Shiite militants and Lebanon army[9]
