What have been the most important developments in sustainability at Embracer this year?
Our sustainability work has continued to take big steps forward this year. In dialogue with the operative groups and other stakeholders, we continued facilitating the alignment of the sustainability work across the group. All companies know their market and business best, but we can learn from each other and create effective synergies. This is key when we are continuing to rapidly grow and onboard new companies in the group. Importantly, we have also set group-wide sustainability goals, providing guidance and direction in the proceeding of our sustainability work. At our parent company, we have increased our support functions and continued integration of risk, legal, privacy and finance, taking the sustainability work to the next level.
What’s next on our sustainability journey for 2023/24?
Increasing the collaboration within the group and creating even more synergies are vital to strengthening our sustainability work going forward and reaching our set goals. This work includes sharing best practices across the group and learning from the organization’s frontrunners. We will also continue to work with collaboration across the industry on sustainability. We actively participate in forums for the Swedish gaming industry and on a EU-level we are engaged in ISFE ("Interactive Software Federation of Europe"). We also continue cooperation with key organizations such as Global Compact, Women in Games and other non-governmental organizations.
