Responding to Hurricane Helene
Along with other UNC-Chapel Hill departments, Campus Safety staff have assisted in the response to those areas impacted by Hurricane Helene.

Starting Sept. 1, 2024, there are several opportunities for UNC-Chapel Hill community members to obtain a flu vaccination on campus.
The Laboratory Safety Manual requires that many hazards in the workplace be labeled, including at laboratory entrances, in food areas, on refrigerators, on microwaves, near hazardous equipment, and on hazardous chemical containers.
Along with other UNC-Chapel Hill departments, Campus Safety staff have assisted in the response to those areas impacted by Hurricane Helene.
The industrial hygienist makes Carolina safer and used that expertise to help another university recover from Hurricane Helene.
Over 1,040 individuals received flu and COVID vaccinations at the pop-up clinic sites – an increase from the 905 vaccinated during the 2023 season.
