Convallaria Majalis Toxicity

Lily of the valley (Convallaria majalis) is highly toxic to waterfowl. The flowers, leaves, and stems of C. majalis contain saponins and cardiac glycosides--specifically convallotoxin, convalloside, and convallamarin. Consumption of 12g of substance is lethal to waterfowl.
