Scholarships are awarded for college undergraduate juniors, seniors, or graduate students studying in fields related to the delivery of services to children with special needs and/or to those who have a disability for which he or she has received services. Â Legacy Scholarship applicants should have a family member who is or has been a member of AASEA. Â Consideration will be given for the areas of K-12 Special Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Special Education Supervision and Administration, or other related fields at the AASEA Scholarship Committee's discretion. Â Consideration will be given to persons employed by or planning to be employed by school districts or educational cooperatives in Arkansas.
Application Process:
The following form should be completed and submitted by Friday, April 4, 2025 toÂ

Along with the form, two letters of recommendation from employers, supervisors, or professors are also required.  Please forward those to the above email address, as well.  Additionally, applicants should forward a photograph of themselves to this email address as part of the application process. The photograph should be appropriate for publication. Please ensure the photo is of the applicant only.  Please keep in mind that ALL components of the application must be submitted to be considered for the scholarship and applicants for the Legacy Scholarship should have a family member who is or has been a member of AASEA.
