Grunds are a race tiny blue aliens from Marvel Comics, who appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the Disney+ original animated series I Am Groot.
The Grunds were created by Steve Gerber and Jim Starlin.

In the second episode, Groot accidentally uncovers their civilization. At first intimidated by the seemingly enormous tree toddler and start attacking him, but the Grunds soon discover he’s the hero they’ve been waiting for.

- In the comics, the Grunds are yellow human-like creatures, who can use their antennae atop heads to absorb energy for concussive bolts.
