The first month of the year has several music and literature events in Paphos. First and foremost is an intimate live performance by the acoustic jazz band Trio in Cahoots which takes place on January 6 at Technopolis20.

With Kakia Fesa on vocals, Antreas Yerolatsitis on guitar and Kyriacos Kesta on upright bass, the evening will be a colourful blend of jazz music, Brazilian and pop tunes as interpreted by the trio. Included in their repertoire are songs such as You Make Me Feel So Young, Skylark, Águas de Março, Luiza by Antonio Carlos Jobim, Wintertime by Norah Jones, River by Joni Mitchel and more.

Next at Technopolis20 is a book presentation. Author Angeliki Troumba presents Me stil-o kai fantasia on January 10. Publisher Andri Hairalla will moderate the event with speeches by Demetra Christodoulou and Magda Troumba.

The following event returns to music as Andreas Yerolatsitis and Kyriaki Steliou present the Precious Garnet concert. January 15’s performance aims to reflect love through the eyes of people in different countries and societies. Songs from different styles will be presented from jazz standards, the decades between 1935 and 1965, to Greek composers and beyond. All enriched by Yerolatsitis’ guitar skills and Steliou’s voice and piano talent.
