A woman was attacked by a dog in the Kyrenia district village of Thermia, the Turkish Cypriot police said on Sunday.
The woman, aged 52, was walking along a street in the village when she came across a 45-year-old man walking his dog in the opposite direction.
While the dog was on a leash, it was not wearing a muzzle and was not licenced.
It bit the woman on her right arm, though the police have not made any statement regarding the severity of her injuries.
Legal action has been initiated against the man, and the police’s investigation into the matter is ongoing.
