| Blazon | English: 'The drawing goes beyond the decree : The position of Knight of the Empire is shown by a hat above the shield but with an Or line and an aigrette rack with aigrette also Or and not Argent. The position of member of the Legion d'honneur is shown by The Cross under the shield and is not on an honourable ordinary with Gules tincture. The ribbon necklace is worn by magistrates in robe, university in togas, and clergymen in cassocks but doesn't allow to know the rank.' Français : 'L'interprétaion va au-delà du décret : La qualité de chevalier de l’Empire est indiquée par une toque qui somme l'écu mais qui comporte un liseret Or et un porte-aigrette avec aigrette également Or et non Argent.
