Description

Distintivo del rey Felipe VI de España.

Nuevo distintivo adoptado para Felipe VI de acuerdo al Real Decreto 527/2014, de 20 de junio, por el que se crea el Guión y el Estandarte de Su Majestad el Rey Felipe VI y se modifica el Reglamento de Banderas y Estandartes, Guiones, Insignias y Distintivos, aprobado por Real Decreto 1511/1977, de 21 de enero.

Su Majestad el Rey, Felipe VI, siguiendo la tradición de la Casa Real, y contando con el asesoramiento de la Real Academia de la Historia, ha tenido a bien aprobar las Armas que utilizará durante su reinado, por lo que ha de modificarse el Reglamento de Banderas y Estandartes, Guiones, Insignias y Distintivos, aprobado por Real Decreto 1511/1977, de 21 de enero, con el objeto de crear el guión y el estandarte correspondiente al nuevo Rey.

De acuerdo con el referido dictamen de la Real Academia de la Historia, la ordenación del guión y del estandarte que ha de ostentar como Rey Don Felipe de Borbón y Grecia será la misma que tuvo como Príncipe de Asturias, con la salvedad de desaparecer el lambel diferenciador y timbrarse el escudo con la Corona Real de España, en lugar de la de Príncipe de Asturias. Esta es la práctica generalmente seguida en la heráldica europea cuando un príncipe heredero accede al trono.

Asimismo, se establece que Su Majestad el Rey Don Juan Carlos, una vez sea efectiva su abdicación, siga usando el guión y el estandarte que ha venido utilizando durante su reinado.

Por último, se adapta al nuevo escudo el distintivo que actualmente utiliza el personal mencionado en el Real Decreto 2157/1977, de 23 de julio, por el que se crea el distintivo de la Casa de Su Majestad el Rey.

En su virtud, a propuesta de la Vicepresidenta del Gobierno y Ministra de la Presidencia y del Ministro de Defensa, y previa deliberación del Consejo de Ministros en su reunión del día 20 de junio de 2014..

Su descripción de acuerdo al mencionado decreto es el siguiente:

Descripción: Consistirá en un óvalo de latón cuyo eje mayor, en posición vertical, tendrá treinta y cinco milímetros de longitud y treinta milímetros el eje menor. El anverso estará esmaltado en carmesí, rodeado de un borde dorado de un milímetro de ancho en todo su contorno. En el centro llevará el escudo de Su Majestad el Rey..

Las proporciones del escudo con respecto al fondo se ha tomado las mismas que en el estandarte 440 mm de altura del escudo por 800 mm del estandarte.
