Deutsch: Wappen der ehemaligen Gemeinde Leeden, seit 1975 Stadtteil von Tecklenburg: „In Rot ein schwarz bewehrter silberner (weißer) Einhornkopf.“
Im Jahre 1939 ist das Einhorn Wappentier der Gemeinde Leeden geworden. Es wurde im Wappen Heinrichs von Leeden geführt, der 1436 Bürgermeister in Osnabrück und wahrscheinlich Gründer des Ledenhofes war. Vermutlich stammte die Familie von den Adeligen gleichen Namens ab , die als Dienstleute des Grafen von Tecklenburg im 13. Jahrhundert in der Bauernschaft Aversele ( Averslegge), heute Oberberge, auf dem gräflichen Oberhof Leeden wohnte.

The arms were granted in 1939. The unicorn based on the arms of Heinrich von Leeden, Major from Osnabrück in 1436 and probably founder of the "Ledenhof". The colours are derived from the former county of Tecklenburg. |
