Object history
Deutsch: Die Gemeinde ist am 1. Juli 1974 aus der Vereinigung von Ober- und Unterbalzheim hervorgegangen. Als Wappenfigur wählte sie eine Darstellung des charakteristischen, mit Eicheln besteckten Kirchturmkreuzes von Unterbalzheim, wohin die Einwohner beider Gemeindeteile seit jeher eingepfarrt waren. Auf dem Dreiberg als dem heraldischen Symbol für „Berg" stehend, soll es auf die Grafschaft Kirchberg als beiden Orten gemeinsame ehemalige Herrschaft hinweisen. Das Landratsamt Alb-Donau-Kreis hat das Wappen samt der Flagge am 21. August 1979 verliehen.
