Object history
Deutsch: In Affing findet man im 12. und 13. Jahrhundert einen gleichnamigen Ortsadel. Als die Familie ausgestorben war, wechselten Burg und Herrschaft häufig den Besitzer. Die Freiherren von Gravenreuth, eine Familie aus dem oberfränkischen Uradel, erwarben 1816 von Graf Maximilian Anton von Leyden das Schloss und die Patrimonialgerichtsbarkeit. In den Seitenaltären der Pfarrkirche sind die Wappen der beiden Adelsfamilien überliefert. Die Gemeinde wählte mit Zustimmung der Familie für ihr Hoheitszeichen das Wappen der Adelsfamilie von Gravenreuth.
